The problems that the people of Pakistan are facing today might not be too different from the problems our citizens faced in the last few years. But this does not mean that democratic and dictatorial governments are the same. There are marked differences that have to be explained to the common man. The Zardari government took over from the previous regime in such grueling circumstances that it is taking its time implementing its agenda. The months that the elected government has taken to establish footholds are, thus, no surprise. Consolidating is a tedious process that takes a lot of time. Now that they are settled, the fruit of the dedicated efforts of this government will soon be visible to all. Great work is being put in as is evident from the new policies. -SASHA MASOOD, Lahore, February 1.
