After three days of the attack on a group of journalists from Johi, no action has been taken against the landlord and his men. The journalists had gone to report the ruthless chopping of trees in Kachho area of TalukaJohi, District Dadu, when some men attacked them, they broke their cameras, tortured them and took them to the village guest house of the landlord, Ahmed Khan Leghari, were they were kept hostage for couple of hours. Then they were taken to hospital, but no case was registered. PirBux Babar, former president of press club Johi and one of the active journalists, belonging to Daily Express Urdu and Express TV shared that the landlord who had attacked the journalists enjoyed the support of the ruling party; therefore police is not taking action against him. If the attacks on journalists are not taken seriously, this could become a really bad precedent for the coming generations.
