Government announced a Rs.341b bailout package for the farmers and facilitation of their agricultural farms. This is an appreciative initiative to address the woes of farmers who were suffering due to continued fall in the agricultural commodity prices. Package of subsidies on fertilizers, loans, cash grants, reduction in tax rates, is an adequate plan to satisfy the farmers while keeping the commodity prices low for consumers. Such assistance will lower the cost of production for the farmers and will ease out their financial constraints. Easy loans and import duty reduction on agricultural machinery will further encourage the farmers to expand their farming goals and earn increased production and profits.
