Why do we criticise?

Criticism and advice is the easiest and cheapest commodity that we give lavishly to others without understanding that sometimes it can hurt badly. This act of passing judgment has overtaken our society, increasing stress due to negative criticism. We appreciate developed countries for their disciplines and forget that we already have the world’ best ideology and guidelines in Islam but we don’t practice or implement them.
As a prophet once said, “Let him throw the first stone who has never sinned,” and who among us can say this? We all need to improve ourselves and only when we have achieved perfection, can we criticize others, but only Allah is perfect and we all have bad habits. Have we ever thought what have we contributed to the society or our country, when we pass harsh judgments and criticise? I would say let’s all make ourselves better first and in doing so we may be making a new Pakistan!
