Saudi Arabia has played a very vital role in the world politics, it has promoted sectarian strife in Pakistan and in Bahrain and Egypt it has helped to root out nascent democratic movements. Saudis have colluded with Israel to suppress Palestinians, as they represent democratic forces. Both Israel and House of Saud in Saudi Arabia do not want to see democracy in the middle east. No one has any doubts that Saudi money is involved in the ongoing Syrian conflict. Once Saudis used their petro-dollars to put Soviet Union under financial burden. It was all done on America’s behest, as the Saudis still dance to the tune of America. America in returns remains quiet about the cruel justice system and repression of minorities in Saudi Arabia. Our misfortune is that Sharif’s of Pakistan are also now playing into the hands of the Saudi Arabian monarchy. Saudis interpret Islam according to their needs as they want continuity of their despotism and nothing else. It will be a new dawn for Pakistan when we will decline Saudi money. Saudis and Iranians are fighting a proxy war on our soil. We should keep a tight watch on Iranian activities, as only then can we hope to have a Pakistan free of sectarian violence and religious strife.
