Yaum-e-Takbeer is the day for promoting concept of joint defence and collective security of the Muslim world. Our nuclear capability is not just meant for the defence of Pakistan; rather it should be at the disposal of the Muslim world. There are moments in the lives of nations when they are forced to take a bold and courageous decision. May 28, 1998 was one such day for the people of Pakistan when they decided to stand firm against the coercive threats of the so-called superpower. Today, the west is exploiting the cover of the United Nations to establish its hegemony over the Muslim world. While attacking Afghanistan and Iraq by ignoring the UN resolutions, the US and its allied forces have killed millions of innocents Muslims. Meanwhile, the Muslim world is being challenged through all kinds of discriminatory regimes like NPT, CTBT etc. The bloodletting in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq and other parts of the world has left no option for the Muslim world but to openly defy all discriminatory international treaties and agreements. -MUHAMMAD MOOSA, Islamabad, June 4.
