I want to draw attention to yet another incident of religious intolerance. A few days back a mob attacked an Ahmadi house in Shamsabad village of district Kasur. The Ahmadie family was beaten up and reportedly the mob had full ‘protection’ from the local police. An ex-MNA is said to have been involved in the episode. After Badami Bagh, this is yet another example of religious radicalization in our society. Also, the role of police has again become questionable. I wonder how long we will wait to see the monster of extremism invading our society. It is about time something tangible was done.
