As a people-friendly gesture, the Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan has indicated his private email address on the web site of the Ministry of Interior. This is a commendable initiative to receive feedback from the people regarding policies, decisions and actions of the Ministry and concerned officials of the departments and organisations under the administrative control of MOI.
I have emailed a number of messages to the Honorable Minister on this address: interior.complaintcell@gmail.com. Unfortunately, none has been acknowledged so far. I think there is some administrative problem that needs to be corrected, otherwise the initiative of the Minister will go down the drain and the existing gulf between the ‘Rulers and the Ruled’ will continue. The Interior Minister is also advised to get daily briefing from his PRO on the Media coverage of activities, including letters, columns etc related to his Ministry and attached units.
