I have high respect and regards for Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister of Water and Power, for his political struggle and contribution to democracy, but I was extremely surprised to watch him appearing on a live TV program dated 14/10/2015 specially to tell Pakistan’s energy starved people of Pakistan that he has been not on talking terms for the last four years with Chaudry Nisar, the Minister of Interior.
I would like to point out that surely the energy starved people of Pakistan would like to hear from Khawaja Asif is what he has done so far during last two and a half years as Federal Minister of Water & Power to solve energy shortage in the country rather than happily telling the public that he is not on talking terms with his fellow Interior Minister.
People of Pakistan would like and expect from Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister of Water and Power to spend maximum of his time and energy to help nation to reduce load shedding by catching power thieves, reducing line losses and expediting completion of power projects which are in the pipelines instead of making TV appearance to show immaturity by telling people of Pakistan that he is not on talking terms with Chaudry Nisar, the Interior Minister. I think it is for the first time in the history of Pakistan that two sitting Federal Ministers are not talking to each other.
This situation is not good for the country and I am sure this must be damaging for PML(N) too. I can’t understand what was the need for Khawaja Asif to share this information with people of Pakistan instead of bringing this matter at the higher leadership level of PML(N) to solve it ?
