In our country there has been a media revolution so to speak. Several news channels and newspapers have opened up and all of them have played an important role in development and progress of society in a number of ways. However, there are certain issues like for instance the persecution of journalists themselves at the hands of intelligence agencies that has not been given due importance.
The murder of Saleem Shahzad for instance is once such glaring example. These journalists put their lives in danger just to find out the truth in larger interest of their country and in return they get slain brutally. It is media’s duty to fully investigate such deaths.
