Abusing power

In the established democracies of west and our neighbor India, there are examples of whole families that dominate the politics of a particular party for decades, but in Pakistan it baffles the imagination that members of a single family conveniently have their siblings and close relatives joining almost every political party that exists, thereby ensuring that perks of political power would protect financial interests of that family, whichever party gets elected.
Just take the example of this family based in Lahore, whose late father was a judge of Lahore High Court, who sentenced an elected PM to death. A judgment which till to date has been condemned as a gross miscarriage of justice, and has never been quoted as a precedent. One son of this family is in PML-N, the daughter is in PPP, the elder son himself, a former judge, who later was an Attorney General of Pakistan under Musharraf and retained by the outgoing elected government, was instrumental in sending the controversial letter to Swiss Government for withdrawing the case. What sort of gimmickry is this? No wonder politics in Pakistan has become laced with absurdities and controversies, where there are neither any principles, nor ideologies, just one objective to be in power, so as to abuse and enjoy its perks.
