Our society has gone violent, corrupt and morally bankrupt beyond ones imagination. Regrettably, violence and corruption, in all its forms and manifestations, are on the rise in our society. Various ways and means including social, psychological and administrative are being put in use to contain the growing menace of violence and corruption in the society but it seems a far cry. The integral education inculcating moral uprightness, developing physical and aesthetic talents, and fostering intellectual skills of the students is needed at the moment. Historically speaking, integral education has been the hallmark of Indus valley civilization. This is why, it is the only civilization in the world, which has not invaded any country, and it is the only civilization which has lived peacefully. Our policymakers and educationists must think that the heart of education is the education of the heart. Only then can we transform our individuals into honest citizens.
