Unscheduled loadshedding

After the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared the rental power plants projects as illegal on account of concrete evidence of corruption, our rulers who are responsible for such corruption have started politicising this fault as usual. Their politicising tactics always include a mixture of false propaganda, fanning parochial feelings, a lot of whining about their victimisation, promoting an environment of chaos and lawlessness, and character assassination of the targets. Additionally in the case of the RPP judgment, they have drawn up a plan to put the squeeze on people so that they cry out loud in agony and thus try to prove the dire necessity of those rentals. Thus, as a part of this plan the power supply companies such as MEPCO Multan have been asked to hold a competition every month among the superintendent engineers of WAPDA for causing maximum unscheduled loadsheddings in their regions by hoodwinking the people into believing that these are just breakdowns and not deliberate shutdowns. Last month the Muzaffargarh superintendent won a prize for successfully pulling off and still continuing just such skullduggery. As a result, most parts of Muzaffargarh city have to undergo an electric shutdown of about 20 hours a day. Our rulers and their foreign patrons must be watching with great relish this show of no-lights they created so cleverly.
