Unrest in Sindh

September 19, 2012

Certain ethnic groups in Karachi have been on an unchecked spree of various crimes in Karachi. It seems as if these killers have no fear, not from the state, which it controls politically, or from foreign press, as it has its backing and connections. Being a friendly coalition partner it should have been helping PPP in developing better governance, but we did not see that. Instead they are behind every crime committed in Sindh. The Karachi police are fully infested by these killers. May 12 incidence was all orchestrated through police headquarters. The shooting started by unknown people triggered a general killing spree. It seems strange that with such heavy police contingency standing there, no arrests were made? The inquiry reports by the police have no value as everyone knows they are biased.ANWAR UL HAQUE, Lahore, September14.
