Through your newspaper, I would like to appreciate the services of Director General of Sarhad Toursim Corporation NWFP who has held various festivals despite tense law and order situation in the province. Now again, they have arranged a Frontier Food and Cultural Festival 2009 that features traditional food stalls, handicrafts, a funfair for kids, cultural performances, gaming zones, game shows, mango fiesta, skeet and trap shooting, juggling acts, magic shows and much more besides. In the coming events, they are planning to do charity events like this for IDPs also. This is wonderful job done. I would request the DG Tourism not to ignore the security aspect of such events. He must ensure strict security measures with the help of IG Police NWFP and the intelligence agencies. Through tourism, we can earn a lot of money for the government treasury.
