The arrival of a baby is time of change for a couple, high expectations, the thrill of shopping and dreams of names. Now with modern technology, parents know the gender of the unborn child and think of names for the coming guest. According to a ‘BabyCenter’ survey, 11 percent of parents experience baby name remorse. More than a third of these doubting parents admit that if they could have a do-over, they would pick a different name. It happens; some parents regret the names they choose.
There's no law that says you have to stick with a name if you hate it, if you feel very strongly, a legal name change might be the best cure. Names are very important as it is one’s identity, so it's best to make any changes while your child is still a baby or, at the very latest. Deciding on a name for your child can be tough. And even after you think you've picked just the right name, you may find it wasn't quite so perfect after all.
It is a fact that, in our society there are large number of parents who are educated, but they name their children without giving much thought to the meaning of the name. It is the infant’s vested right to be honoured with a good name. When choosing a name for the child, it should be done with the intention that the child will be blessed with the blessing of that name.
