It is rightly said that, “If you educate a boy you educate an individual but if you educate a girl you educate a society.” Unfortunately, in Shikarpur, girls cannot acquire education unless security is provided to them on their way to school. The Government Girls’ High School on Sukpul Dadwai road is particularly unsafe. Since the last three years, students and teachers have regularly complained about guys who occupy the road that leads to the school and harass the females. Out of more than 200 girls enrolled, many have been withdrawn from the school because their parents think it’s unsafe. Sadly, there is no-one to provide appropriate security measures. 

It is my request to the district administration to provide at least two sepoys for half an hour in the morning and noon. The Store Ganj Police Station is nearby, and can be taken help from. Such vulgarities must be punished, and a safe environment must be provided to the schoolgirls.
