It is baffling why print media provides “open and unchecked” access to Indians under readers comments. Some regular Indian trotters appear to be hired hands under different aliases tasked with negative campaign. They are normally the first to comment and hardly miss an opportunity to malign and lace their views with negative comments about Pakistan, its people and armed forces. On the other hand, Indian media censors any and all comments and shows no such impunity. Newspapers and media must demonstrate patriotism and balance their moderation policy to allow balanced comments and healthy debate but certainly not those mocking or demeaning. As a Pakistan, this is certainly not acceptable in the name of ‘freedom of expression.’
