Anti-Polio campaign has been followed in all provinces, yet polio cases keep appearing. The main reason seems to be mismanagement and the deteriorating security situation as well as illiteracy of the masses. Various polio workers have been attacked slowing the pace of anti-polio campaign. With fresh determination Minister of State for Health Services has reiterated government’s commitment for eradication of polio from the country. She asserted that security issues in KPK and FATA could not deter government in the fight against polio. With such a vision it is hoped that Pakistan will be a polio free country soon. Let’s hope solid actions follow these strong words.
