The most painful part of the report was the words ‘almost forgotten’ used to recall the incident, which occurred in September 2012. The only other parallel I can think of in history was the savage act by Queen Marry of England, who in 1553 ordered the burning of 300 Protestents, the queen being a Catholic herself. An incident of such horrifying magnitude should never be forgotten – while the print media has done more than enough to keep the memory alive of those who perished, the electronic media needs to do more.
