In the recent past, a so-called Youth Parliament was formed, apparently, to introduce democracy at the grassroots level. In my opinion, though, it also had the interior motive of creating ethnic and parochial feelings among the classes so that the country automatically disintegrates sometime in the future. We should not involve foreigners from Norway in our education system. In their stead, it would be better if Pakistani academics, or academics of Pakistani origin working as professors in various universities of United States, Australia and elsewhere in the West are involved in our education system. A delegation of this Youth Parliament has gone to London to get some hands-on experience of democracy and has not returned since. Islamabad has apparently forgotten them and seems to have no interest where they are and whom they meet, why haven't they come back yet and what they may be doing there? It is very much possible that they might have been brainwashed by now by organizations like the MOSSAD to be used against their own country. It is important that our intelligence agencies should always keep track of such delegations visiting foreign countries, especially those going in the West. -ZAFAR ISRAR, Karachi, November 21.
