National solidarity is perhaps the best outcome of the terror attack in Peshawar. Nation has united to condemn, not only the attackers but their supporters or sympathisers, as well. To marginalised a Taliban mindset is an important development and would help our civil society play an important role in promoting peace and tolerance. Besides, our Government’s response to the incident was prompt. Prime Minister’s immediate visit to Peshawar and summoning an All Party Conference was a clear message to the world that the whole nation and all political parties are united in this war against terrorism. Moreover, lifting of moratorium on the execution of death penalty is a daring step by the government.
