After disastrous floods, the province of Sindh is facing yet another crisis of deadly diarrhea and dengue fever. So far hundreds of cases have been reported by the media, social workers and volunteers in the makeshift camps set for the flood victims. At the same time, hundreds of such cases go unnoticed and are not reported. The weather has been extremely hot, aggravating the suffering of the displaced population, particularly for children and women. It is also reported that children and women are dying of diarrhea, dengue fever and malaria. Regrettably, the provincial health department authorities are making light of the situation. One appeals the President and Prime Minister to direct the Federal Health Ministry to take immediate steps in collaboration with the international health and hygiene organizations to save millions of innocent lives whose lives are at stake due to the deadly diseases.
