Sitting half a world away from home, I’m deeply saddened to hear of Mr Majid Nizami’s passing away, Inna lillahe wa inna elahe rajioon. He was an extraordinary person, one of a kind— a legend and a journalist par excellence who will be remembered for his unswerving commitment to the ideology of Pakistan and democracy. He was a father figure and a source of inspiration for the younger generation. The void created by his demise will always remain unfilled. Hopefully, his legacy would be carried forward by the newspapers he edited for more than half a century, may he rest in peace. May Allah bless him.
