This refers to Saad Rasool’s column, published in the Nation on March 8, 2015 on ‘Justice.’ In an otherwise well written article, in the second paragraph, Saad Rasool has, in a very cavalier manner, questioned the Quranic injunctions, regarding inheritance, testimony and status in a dismissive way. This is most unfortunate, as I believe that he should have discussed the matter seriously, as the said injunctions have specific rationale for justification. It is hoped that a corrective approach will be followed in the future.
