A two day investment conference is ongoing in Islamabad to highlight Pakistan’s investment regime and opportunity for investors in different sectors of economy. The conference is titled ‘Invest Pakistan’ priority sectors and legal framework for investment in the country. The Prime Minister is taking personal interest in this conference, organized by the Board of Investment. Hopefully the event would provide an occasion for foreign and local businessmen and investors to interact with each other and explore joint ventures and investment opportunities in sectors like energy, oil and gas, privatization, information technology and telecommunication, roads and infrastructure, agriculture, mining and minerals and many others.
An expected 350 participants, including over 200 foreign participants are attending the event. The Finance Minister and the Water and Power Minister will be interacting with the attendees and will hopefully allay any fears they might have regarding investment. This event is an opportunity to showcase Pakistan and to show Pakistan’s strength as an excellent place to do business.
