PESHAWAR  - In order to apprise the masses of the so-called change of PTI government, the opposition parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have decided to publish a white paper regarding one year performance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in the province.
In this connection an important meeting was held in Hoti House Mardan which was attended by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) provincial chief Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, Awami National Party Provincial President Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, General Secretary of Awami National Party Mian Iftikhar Hussain, JUI-F leader Maulan Shujaul Malk and Pakistan Peoples Party Provincial President Haji Khanzada Khan.
Addressing on the occasion the participants said that PTI government has failed to deliver and it is only chanting hollow slogans of change.
During the meeting important matters related to tripartite alliance for the upcoming local bodies elections were discussed. They also decided to publish a white paper which would be based on facts and figures rather than allegations against the PTI government.
In a joint declaration the participants demanded of the provincial government to constitute three members committee to announce fresh date for the local government elections.
The participants on this occasion also demanded of the federal government to complete the military operation till to its logical end and increase the registration points for internally displaced people of North Waziristan Agency.
The leader of opposition parties said that PTI government is making ways to escape from the local bodies elections but now it will have to fulfil its promises which it had made with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before May 2013 general elections.
Responding to the allegations of the opposition parties, Provincial Information Secretary of PTI Ayesha Gulalai said that all the three parties of the alliance have been rejected by the masses. She said that JUI-F has no clear manifesto and it is doing the politics of personal gains.
She said that masses better know what was plight of governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the time when JUI-F and Awami National Party were ruling the province. She said if they were so sincere with the masses and claiming themselves champion of Pakhtuns rights, why they were defeated in May 2013 elections.
She mentioned that though the ideologies of all these three parties are different from each other, they have been united against the fear of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. She said that by the mercy of God Almighty PTI had largely contributed in this one year reign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said that reforms in education sector, right to information law, accountability laws, and reforms in police department are the feathers in PTI cap.
Commenting on the delay in local bodies’ elections, the PTI spokesperson said that the PTI had made all its arrangements and it was fully prepared to hold local bodies’ elections on April 30 last but the decision of Supreme Court regarding delimitation delayed the local government polls. She said that for the first time PTI would hold the elections in the province through biometric system, which would leave no chance of rigging and mistakes.
