ISLAMABAD A single bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) headed by Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan on Thursday issued pre-admission notices to the parties in the petition against the appointment of Chairman Oil and Gas Regularity Authority (OGRA). Muhammad Anwar Khan, an employee of OGRA, through his counsel Abdul Rehman Siddiqui has challenged the appointment of Touqeer Sadiq as Chairman OGRA in the court. The petitioner pleaded that the appointment had made on political basis and the degree of Chairman OGRA was also doubtful. The counsel of the petitioner appeared before the court and argued. After hearing the arguments, the court issued notices to the parties and adjourned the case till April 18. Meanwhile, A single bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) headed by Justice Muhammad Anwar Kasi on Thursday accepted the early hearing application of Raja Aftab-ul-Islam, Joint Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs, accused in haj scam. The counsel of the petitioner appeared before the court.
