Governor Sindh gears up to resolve MQM-PTI issue

Karachi- Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad today has played an important role in sorting out the issue between Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by calling the leadership of both parties to the Governor House.
As per sources, Governor Sindh would also hold a press conference after meeting with the leaders of both parties.
Earlier, Karachi’s Azizabad area’s Jinnah Ground turned into a battleground when workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) clashed with each other upon PTI leader Imran Ismail’s arrival in the area, Dunya News reported.
The clash soon turned violent as PTI leader’s car along with other vehicles was smashed. According to details, PTI’s Imran Ismail reached the area to oversee the arrangements of the campaign rally for his candidacy in NA 246 constituency. MQM workers also started gathering there and chanting loud slogans including ‘go Imran go’ which was reciprocated by PTI workers with pro-PTI slogans. Soon after, it resulted into a confrontation-turned-violent-clash. The clash began when Imran Ismail was going back along with workers.
MQM workers attacked PTI workers and smashed their vehicles. Imran Ismail said that MQM’s bullying will no longer work.
A case has been registered on PTI’s complaint in which as many as 40 people are nominated including MQM chief Altaf Hussain. The case 2015/96 has been registered in Azizabad police station.
