Govt seeks powerless LB officials’ co-op

SIALKOT-The Punjab minister for local bodies asked the LB representatives, who are still waiting for power, to leave no stone unturned for serving the people and helping the government to raise the living standard of the people.
Manshaullah Butt said that the local bodies were the nursery of democracy as the system has always been helpful in social development and solving the problems of the people besides providing all the basic facilities to the people at local level.
He stated this while addressing the party workers. The provincial minister added that PML-N government has put the country on the highway to national socio-economic development and national economical and political stability as well.
He said that the national has made a fabulous development in every sphere of life during the last three years, which had not been made during the last 68 years. He stated that Pakistan has made unmatched and exemplary economic development due to the effective, positive and revolutionary economical policies under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He narrated that the PML-N was actively implementing its social welfare oriented agenda to serve the masses at gross root level. He said that the government had already put the country on the highway to success towards the goals of national stability.
“In fact, only the PML-N is changing the destiny of the nation and the country by making hectic efforts to pull the country out of all the inner and outer dangers , besides, curbing the menace of the inherited energy crisis,” he added.
WOMEN’S ROLE STRESSED: The SCCI’s Committee for Women Entrepreneurs) stressed the need of maximum induction of the women in the business field.
Its chairperson Dr Mariyam Nouman said that the time was ripe to bring the women in strengthening the national economy as a mission, besides, educating the males to let their women come to the business.
She stated this while presiding over an important meeting of the Sialkot based women entrepreneurs held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here. Assistant Director TDAP Sialkot Mrs. Ghazala Akbar and Coordinator SCCI’s Women Resource Center (WRC) Mehmooda Nadeem Butt also attended the meeting.
She said that under the global trade scenario, the industry was also facing the international pressure to bring the women in work force besides indulging the women in to the decision making as well. Dr Mariyam Nouman revealed that there was a great talent and potential of doing business in the women, due to which the women should be inducted in the work forces and the change of thought of the society has also become vital.

She also urged the government and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to provide the trade and export related incentives to the women entrepreneurs, especially announcing the trade related incentives for the women entrepreneurs, for participating in the ISPO Germany global trade fare as well.
