6,790 disabled to benefit from Khidmat Card

The Punjab Chief Minister launched Khidmat Card Program at nine divisional headquarters of the province including DG Khan through video-link conference here the other day. The district administration will issue Khidmat Cards to 6,790 handicapped people in DG Khan district in the first phase, said Commissioner Muhammad Yasreb.
Addressing ceremony here the other day, he informed that the government has launched Khidmat Cards Programme with Rs2 billion providing financial assistance to more than two hundred thousand special persons across the province. He said that under the programme, special persons would be provided Rs3,600 after every three months. On the occasion, DCO Nadeemur Rehman said that the district administration would issue the Khidmat Cards to 6,790 handicapped people across the district including 4,373 handicapped people of Tehsil DG Khan, 2,055 of Tehsil Taunsa and 359 of Tehsil Tribal Area. One window operation centers have been setup at THQ Hospital Taunsa Sharif, Kot Chutta and Teaching Hospital DG Khan, he added.
RPO Rehmat Ullah Khan Niazi, MPA Sardar Mehmood Qadir Khan Leghari, Mrs Najma Arshad, Additional Commissioner Revenue Rana Shoukat Ali, ACG Abdul Jabbar, ACR Saifur Rehman, Director Health Dr Shahid Hussain Bhatti, EDO CD Ahmed Khan Leghari, DO Social Welfare Hafiz Muhammad Akram, Manager Sanatzar Ahmed Zaman Khan, DBA President Muhammad Saleem Raza Kakar and Secretary Pakistan Blind Association Hafiz Gulzar Ahmad were also present on the occasion.
