4 killed in Balochistan violence


QUETTA - Four people, including a woman were killed and another wounded in separate incidents of violence in different towns of Balochistan, on Saturday, while rockets were fired in Jaffarabad district.
According to police, unidentified armed men barged into a shop of Noor Ahmed Qambarani in Satellite town area of Quetta and seriously wounded him after attacking him with a knife.
He was moved to Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The attackers managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime.
Noor Ahmed Qambarani was one of the close companions of Baloch nationalist leader Sardar Khair Bakhsh Marri in National Awami Party period. Police say motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.
In another incident, a man committed suicide after killing his spouse in Gandawa area of Jhal Magsi district.
Police said that accused Ali Hassan opened fire on his wife Reema Bumri and later shot himself dead owing to a domestic dispute in Allahabad area.
Police moved the bodies to hospital for autopsy and later handed over it to heirs for burial.
In Kalat, unidentified armed men opened fire on Mir Khan in Surab and managed to flee from the scene. Resultantly, he sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.
Police has registered a case against unknown persons and investigations into the murder is underway.
Moreover, unidentified armed assailants wounded a man identified as Shahnawaz in Sonipur area of Dera Allahyar.  The injured was shifted to Larkana for further treatment after providing him first medical aid in Dera Allahyar.
Meanwhile, unknown armed men attacked village Qabul Khan of Jaffarabad district with heavy weapons and fired four rockets which landed in isolated places with huge blast. However, no loss of life and damage to property was reported in the attack. Separately, security personnel defused a landmine laid by militants near a camp of Amn Force in Sui area of Dera Bugti.
