3 die in Khuzdar bus attack



QUETTA - At least three people, including a driver, were killed and several others injured in an armed attack on a passenger bus in Khuzdar district, some 360 kilometers from Quetta.According to police officials, unidentified armed men on a motorbike opened indiscriminate fire on a passenger bus in Kakahair area of Khuzdar near Wadh. As a result, three people, including the bus driver, were killed and several others injured. The assailants fled the scene after committing the crime.Police and other law-enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The deceased and injured were shifted to hospital. Two of the deceased were identified as Abdul Aziz and Abdur Rauf. Reportedly, the passenger bus was heading to Karachi from Quetta and the deceased belonged to Pishin district of Balochistan. On receiving information, transporters demonstrated against the incident and took the bodies to Quetta where they staged a sit-in on Sariab Road. They also burnt tyres, placing the bodies on the road.The protesters demanded the government provide security to them and take stern action against those involved in attacks on buses. Monitoring Desk adds: Levies sources told a private TV channel that gunmen on motorcycles opened indiscriminate firing on three passenger buses in the Wadh Tehsil area of Khuzdar.
