Al-Quds day observed, Palestine liberation demanded

LAHORE: A large number of workers of the religious parties, after Juma prayers took to streets for the observance of the Youm ul Quds on Friday to express solidarity with the Palestinian people against illegitimate occupation of Israel since 1948.

The Juma tul Wida, last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan is being observed as Al-Quds day since 1979, on the directions of Imam Khomeini across the world.

This year, some of the Sunni parties including Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, Sunni Ittehad Council also joined the processions and voiced against the Israeli atrocities and violation of human rights.

A mass rally of Shia Ulema Council, Jafaria Students Organisation, Jafaria Youth, Sand Wafaqul Madaris Al-Shia was led by Allama Sibtain Haider Sabzwari, president of Shia Ulema Council Punjab chapter from Lahore Press Club to PIA building.

Acting Amir Jamaat e Islami Liaqat Baloch and JUP Punjab President Qari Zawar Bahadur also addressed the rally and stressed unity of the Ummah to get the Palestine state liberated from the illegal occupation of the Zionist regime.
