Widow seeks CM help

HAFIZABAD: A young widow has appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister and IG Police to provide her protection and also force her in-laws to refund the property and cash amount of her late husband to enable her to grow up her two minor daughters.
Addressing media, Shughfta Begum, mother of two minor daughters, a resident of Mohallah Khanpura, said that she was married off to Rana Ghulam Sarwar in village Rangpur District Muzaffargarh about nine years back. In 2007, her husband who was serving in the traffic police died of heart attack.
She blamed that the property and cash amount given by the Police Department was usurped by her brothers-in-law Ghulam Safadar and Zafar Iqbal.
Later, all the members of her in-laws shunted out her from their house and now she was settled with her blind aged mother and no one was here to support her family.  She appealed to Chief Minister and IG Police to take necessary steps to provide her some sort of relief.
