Quetta- Provincial Health Department has set up special counters at three airports of Balochistan for polio vaccination of Pakistanis planning to travel abroad.
The polio vaccination counters have been set up at Quetta, Gwadar and Turbat airports, in line with the directives of World Health Organization (WHO) for issuing international polio vaccination certificate to the passengers. Provincial Secretary Health, Arshad Bugti claims that not even a single case of polio virus has surfaced in Quetta over the past 22 months. Other than the airports, 47 transit points have also been set up across Balochistan to administer polio drops.
