Hashmi says no decision on joining grand alliance yet

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that his party has not made any decision regarding making or joining grand alliance so far.
Addressing a news conference here at his residence, he said that all the decisions of PTI were made on Pakistani soil by its core committee and not in London, Canada or any other country. He lashed out at Nawaz Sharif and said that he and his party were enemies of democracy. “Nawaz Sharif has not attended any session of senate despite lapse of one year. It is sheer violation of Constitution and insult to democracy,” he maintained. He warned that the undemocratic behaviour of Nawaz Sharif delivered serious harm to the parliament and democracy. He said that senate was such an institution where the Prime Minister was held answerable but Nawaz Sharif and N Leaguers did not feel like attending parliamentary sessions after getting votes from the same assemblies. He warned that if Nawaz Sharif did not resolve problems being faced by the public, any other power would dissolve these institutions.
To a question, he said that Sheikh Rasheed tried to get us trapped by giving a statement regarding Qurbani ki eid say pehly qurbani (sacrifice before Eid of sacrifice). He said that he faced more torture during Shahbaz Sharif regime than Musharraf era.
Hashmi categorically declared that neither his party wanted to demolish government nor supported closure of any TV channel. “But Jang and other media houses should follow the law. Screening the photo of head of a sensitive institution for eight consecutive hours was quite wrong and against the law. Boycotting Geo is our right,” he added.
He warned that the coming budget would offer no relief to the masses. “The only difference will be the difference of personalities. Previously Shaukat Aziz used to present this trap prepared by the IMF while this time it will be unveiled by Ishaq Dar,” he maintained.
He said that despite unchecked use of state machinery, defeat of PML-N in Pindi Bhattian by-election proved that the graph of PTI had gone up. He said that the PTI objected on election commission because it was jointly constituted by the PPP and PML-N. He said that the nation had seen that it was only PTI that faced PML-N while rest of all parties including the PPP disappeared from the ground.
Referring to new provinces, he said that constituting new provinces would prove very fruitful for the country, adding that he believed in making new provinces. He warned that the country would lad far behind in the race of development if new provinces were not created.  He said that the PTI news opposed creation of any new province including Saraiki one.
He alleged that Provincial Minister for Prisons Ch Abdul Waheed Arrain wanted to grab land allocated by his family for the establishment of Agriculture University. “He (Arrain) has the support of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in this land grabbing. If the university is not established on this land, I’ll drag Shahbaz Sharif on roads,” he warned. He said that there were strong chances of any mishap because of Ch Abdul Waheed Arrain’s attempts to grab the land illegally and he would be responsible for the consequences if the residents of the area attacked him. He said that his family allocated 50 acres of land and it was decided that Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University would be set up on this land but Ch Abdul Waheed Arrain illegally occupied this land. He maintained that the journalists colony could not be completed as the same minister grabbed a portion of the colony. He warned that the residents of Multan would encircle Chief Minister House if the university was not set up.
