National integrity linked to sovereignty: moot


OKARA - Jamiat Ahle Hadith Secretary General Allama Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer has said the protest being held by the Pakistan Defence Council is peaceful, adding that they do not want to promote a policy of confrontation.
Addressing the Seerat Conference and later talking to the media representatives in Okara, he said that in order to thwart the foreign conspiracies in Balochistan, a strategy would be chalked out in all parties’ conference.
He said that because of ‘cowardice’ in Muslim leadership, non-Muslims dared commit blasphemous acts such as in Afghanistan. “Balochistan is the integral part of Pakistan nobody will be allowed to hatch any conspiracy against Pakistan,” he said. Talking about Memogate scandal, former Pakistani ambassador to the US Haqqani and and the US officials were behind the memo.
He added that his party played a key role regarding Hurmat-e-Rasul. Now they will fight any act of desecration of the Holy Quran. He urged the rulers to get rid of “American slavery” and appealed to the nation to awake before it’s too late.
Separately, Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Ameer Dr Waseem Akhtar has said until the Pakistani rulers get shot of “American slavery”, the US interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs will continue, condemning the resolution on Balochistan issue in the US House of Representatives. He said that Islamic revolution was knocking at the door. He added the his party would continue its efforts to impose Nizam-e-Mustafa in the country. He was addressing a huge gather of party workers in grain market. JI Central Shura member Dr. Liaqat Ali Kausar, district Ameer Jamaat Islami Farooq Sheikh, Dr Babar Rasheed, Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Advocate, Malik Afzal Awan, Burhan Ghani and Junaid Qureshi also addressed the meeting.
Dr Waseem Akhtar said the JI was on the right course but the track was tough and difficult. He claimed that his party was following the footsteps of the prophets. He said that his party would not hesitate to render sacrifices for Islam and the country. He added that loadshedding of electricity and gas had put the country on the brink of destruction. He warned that if the situation persists in the country, the people would took to the streets.
