ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman Thursday expressed full satisfaction over the government’s homework regarding Taliban talks and assured its support at every stage.
“The government sends a strong message that it is serious in talks with the Taliban, our party will support wherever needed,” said Fazl, in a meeting with with Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan.
The minister apprised the Maulana about the progress so far the government has made. He said that the government will soon announce a mechanism.–Reporter
Fazl assured his party’s full support to government at every stage.
Earlier, French Ambassador Jean Philippe Thiebaud met Fazl and apprised his country’s contribution for economic stability of Pakistan.
He also said France is keen to see peace and stability in the region. He said that Talks with Taliban is Pakistan’s own internal issue.
The Maulana said that there is a need for the international community to help reconciliation not only in Pakistan but also in Afghanistan.
