PTI cancels lockdown following Supreme Court verdict

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has called off the November 2 lockdown in Islamabad, following Supreme Court’s verdict asking the government and PTI to submit their Terms of References over Panama Papers probe.

Declaring the SC verdict a ‘victory’ PTI Chief Imran Khan said the reason to call off the lockdown was to allow propel legal proceedings regarding Panama Probe in the Supreme court. “Nawaz Sharif has to appear in the court for his corruption,” he said. "I am extremely happy that investigation into Nawaz Sharif's corruption will begin day after tomorrow."

Imran Khan condemned the Punjab and Federal Government’s brutal method of dealing with PTI workers and supporters.

He stated that PTI will celebrate ‘Day of Thanksgiving (Deliverance)’ on November 2

He has called PTI nationwide supporters to gather at Parade ground, Islamabad, further reiterating that PTI will follow Supreme Court’s ruling.

He expressed his gratitude for KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and thanked him for leading the party followers towards the capital amidst government crackdown.
