ISLAMABAD- Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned indefinitely hearing of government appeal plea against Sindh High Court decision on removal of former president Pervez Musharraf name from ECL.
SC registrar office has admitted for hearing petition filed by Inam ur Rahim for non removal of Musharraf name from ECL. A five member larger bench of SC headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasir ul Mulk took up government appeal plea for hearing Wednesday.
CJP told the Attorney General (AG) former president has filed petition seeking adjournment of case because he is appearing in Special Court in connection with his case. Tausif Asif advocate told the court Special Court has already adjourned the hearing of Musharraf case due to non presence of head of three-memebr Special court.
The CJP remarked “petition has come before us a day before therefore, it is granted and the hearing of the case is adjourned indefinitely.” Col (Retd) Inam ur Rahim told the media men his application for non removal of Musharraf name from ECL has been admitted for hearing by the SC. In next hearing this petition will be clubbed with government appeal plea for hearing.
