RAWALPINDI: An accountability court adjourned the hearing against former president Asif Zardari in the assets reference case till October today.

When the Accountability Court Judge Khalid Mehmod Raja took up the case, National Accountability Bureau Prosecutor Aurangzeb appeared before the court. However, Zardari’s lawyer, Farooq H Naik, did not turn up, forcing the judge to adjourn the hearing.

The court, meanwhile, ordered two witnesses, Naqi Imam Malik and Ahmad Javed Mirza, to appear before the court in the next hearing on October 6.
