RAWALPINDI- Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has rebuffed the allegations that ongoing protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
(PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were backed by Pakistan Army and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Reacting to the allegations levelled by ousted PTI President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi today, ISPR rejected the blames for provision of military support to protests in Islamabad.
‘Pakistan military is a non-political institution which supported democracy on various occasions,’ ISPR stated. "Integrity and unity of the army is its strength which it upholds with pride." The statement refuted all allegation, clarified that military had provided unconditional support to democracy in Pakistan.
Military and ISI are not working behind ongoing political crisis in the country while it is unfortunate to involve a non-political institution in
political matters.
