QUETTA - The provincial assembly of Balochistan unanimously passed bills to increase salaries and allowances of chief minister, speaker, deputy speaker and MPAs.The assembly session was held with Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali in chair, here on Saturday. On behalf of Minister for S& GAD, Home Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti moved the bills including the Balochistan Speaker’s and Deputy Speaker’s (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill 2014 and The Balochistan Chief Minister and Provincial Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill 2014.Provincial Minister Mujibur Rehman Muhammad Hasni tabled the Balochistan Assembly Member (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill 2014.The objects and reasons of the three bills were given that due to the present high cost of living and other daily expenses, residential accommodation and transportation, it is imperative to increase the salaries, allowances of members, Leader of Opposition as well as chairmen of the committees in the Balochistan Assembly.
