Biometric system in hospitals in the offing

AHMEDPUR EAST- The Punjab government is installing biometric system at all hospitals across the province to check attendance to ensure delivery of better healthcare to the masses.
“The government has issued instructions to heads of all hospitals to install biometric system to ensure attendance of employees and serve the people in a better way,” MPA Qazi Adnan Farid disclosed here the other day.
Talking to media men, he said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had approved the proposal during Punjab Health Steering Committee meeting which would be implemented in all hospital across the province within two months.
He said that the Health Steering Committee decided to declare Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals as hard areas hospitals. Resultantly, doctors salaries posted in hard area hospitals would be increased.
“The system is excellent because it provides us with information about the duty of all doctors, paramedics, nurses and Class IV staff,” he said.
The MPA said that he along with two other MPAs - Dr Ms Aisha Malik and Hashim Jawan Bakhat had been included in Punjab Health Steering Committee.
