PIA starts Madina flights from Multan.

OUR STAFF REPORTER MULTAN The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has launched its Multan-Madina flight operation from Multan International Airport as the prime ministers son Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani saw off the passengers of first flight on Friday. The Madina flights have been started on a special directive of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and weekly two flights will fly from Multan. peaking on this occasion, Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani said that the direct flights would not just benefit the residents of Multan but entire South Punjab. He said that the PPP government and Prime Minister were determined to provide all facilities to the masses at their threshold. He lamented that all previous governments badly neglected South Punjab region as a result of which the dwellers of this area were overwhelmed by a strong sense of deprivation. The prime minister has a strong realisation of this serious issue. Thats why massive funds are being given for the development of South Punjab under Prime Minister Development Package, he added. He hoped that the development of south Punjab would help eliminate sense of deprivation from this area. He lashed out at the Punjab Govt and said that the rulers of this province could not digest the development of South Punjab. He alleged that the Punjab Government created a number of hurdles in way of development projects launched by the federal govt.
