SAHIWAL - Punjab Zakat and Usher Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that the PML-N always struggled for the rule of law in the country and workers of the party actively participated in the lawyers movement to support the cause. No country can make progress without rule of law and the Punjab government is taking concrete steps to create conducive atmosphere for provision of justice to the general public with the support of lawyer community. Malik Nadeem Kamran was addressing members and office-bearers of the District Bar Association. SDBA President Malik Muhammad Hussain Saghla, General Secretary Qasim Bashir Chaudhry and Rao Nazar Farid were also present on the occasion. He said that over the past three years, the Punjab government had transformed Sahiwal into a modern city with the provision of all necessary facilities to the citizens. Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif gave Sahiwal divisional status and established a medical college here which will prove to be a turning point in the development of this area. He said that 808 homes are being constructed in Ashiana Housing Scheme to meet the ever-growing need of houses for middle income group and lawyers could also be benefited from the scheme. He promised that second residential colony for lawyers would also be established in Sahiwal and announced a grant of Rs50,000 for the renovation of the bar hall. Earlier, in his address SDBA President Malik Muhammad Hussain Saghla presented demands of the lawyer community to the provincial minister and said that the present provincial government had worked for the solution of the problems faced by the lawyers. He hoped that a special fund would be allocated for the betterment of the District Bar Association.
