KARACHI- The booklet, Quotes from the Quaid, compiled and edited by Sharif al Mujahid and Liaquat Merchant has been prescribed as a compulsory reading for MA and M.Phil courses at the Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, for the next five years.

“Quotes from the Quaid” is a compilation of inspiring quotes and maxims from the founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and has been culled from various materials available on him. These thought-provoking words spell out Jinnah’s vision of Pakistan. Although Jinnah spoke on a multitude of issues in the course of his long and illustrious career, this booklet includes his words and thoughts on areas relevant to contemporary Pakistan.

Around 95,000 copies of the Urdu translation of this book have been distributed free among schools all over Pakistan. Around 1000 copies of the booklet were also provided to the President of Pakistan for distribution amongst parliamentarians and other government functionaries.
