IHC suspends judgement against Babar Awan in Imran Khan case

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the Sessions court verdict against Babar Awan of submitting reply and fine of Rs5,000 in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan defamation case today.

Earlier, lawyers of former Chief Justice (CJ) expressed reservations on Babar Awan’s statement on which, the court sought reply from Babar Awan so many times but didn’t get any response forcing  the court to impose Rs 5,000 fine on him.

Babar Awan challenged the decision of sessions court in IHC stating that he cannot deliver any argument without the consent of his client.

Subsequently, court suspended the judgment against Babar Awan.
