Karachi: Rangers have arrested 23 MQM workers, while collecting Fitra forcibly in the areas of Rizvia and Gulbahar.

As per Rangers spokesman, 16 political workers were arrested from Rizvia Society, as they were collecting Fitra forcibly from people. Rangers have recovered 1000 receipts and a sum of Rs 31500 from their possession.

Rangers will present the arrested persons in the court, spokesman added. No political or religious party is allowed to collect money forcibly in the name of Fitra. Inform at help line 1101, if someone collects Fitra forcibly, spokesman stated.
Rangers also sealed entry and exit points of Peetal galli in the area of Gulbahar and conducted door to door search operation. 7 suspects were taken into custody during the search operation that is stated to be belonging to a political party.
